The team at by design: Mind and Body are gearing up to offer you group fitness with a twist! Please register your interest for the classes below, or if you have an idea you'd like to share let us know! Anyone interested in becoming a group fitness instructor or who is currently completing Certificates 3 & 4 in Fitness email us.
Dance for fitness is a cardio group fitness class combining dance, aerobics and the best of world music. This interval training program aims to help participants reach a high cardiovascular capacity by mixing fast and slow body moves, whilst teaching new dance skills.
FITBALL
Using the unique characteristics of the Fitball, this class will challenge your core. You will develop tone and strength by using the ball to support your body while performing exercises at your own pace. Areas specifically targeted include the postural muscles in your back, legs, abdomen.
YOGA
For beginners and those with some experience, yoga will offer a chance to reconnect your mind and body, while learning about posture and breathing. The poses are challenging and relaxing, giving balance to your life and fitness routine.

PILATES
Pilates involves a series of controlled movements that engage both your body and your mind. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. The outcome of Pilates training is a balanced body, which is strong and supply, flat stomach, balanced legs and a strong back.

AB, BUM & THIGH (ABT)
ABT is a simple form of resistance training using your own body weight (calisthenics). This exciting new class caters for all fitness levels leaving you trim and toned while rapidly improving your strength and energy levels.
FAT BURNER
Torch calories in this 60 minute class. Combining moves for the lower and upper body this is an all over workout, leaving no muscle alone! It is an excellent class to ensure you are hitting every muscle group, maximising your calorie burning potential.

BOOT CAMP
This is an intensive, small group, personal training program directed at people who need NO-EXCUSES training. The program is ideal for those needing to kick start their fitness, or those who need a boost in their routine. It is a challenging, intense and fun training session!

CARDIOBOX
A boxing circuit-style class that utilises boxing equipment, movements & your own body weight. This class is designed to provide an excellent complete body workout and is for all levels of fitness. It is a great way to combine strength and cardiovascular fitness in one hour!

RUNNING GROUP
Running group is designed to get people up and running/walking in a group environment. It will help keep people motivated and push individuals beyond their comfort zone. Tom Lashan has always been an avid runner, and he will put you through the paces. In 2010 the running group will be running in a variety of areas around Melbourne. The group meets at 9am on the corner of Garton and McPherson.
